How the effect is created
Metallic powders suspended in clear epoxy are poured over a dark base. While the resin is still workable, we shape it with rollers and brushes to create ripples, clouds or veining. Light bouncing off the pigment gives the floor depth.
Where it fits in South City
Biotech lobbies and break rooms, small showrooms, salon interiors and home bonus rooms built from part of a garage. It is a durable, seamless surface that is easy to clean.
The process
Moisture testing and grinding come first. After the base coat, we pour and work the metallic layer and seal it under a clear topcoat. In bright rooms, a UV-stable topcoat keeps colors from shifting.
Choosing colors
Corporate spaces often pick silver, graphite or deep blue. Homes lean toward bronze, copper or pearl. We make a sample before the pour.
Will it scratch?
Glossy floors show scratches more than textured ones. Mats and furniture pads help.
How long does it take?
Two to three days, depending on size.
Lobbies and first impressions
A metallic floor in a lab lobby or reception area gives visitors a polished first impression and is easy for janitorial staff to maintain.
